Completion Day

I'm buying a property in Dept 33 and we have a completion date of 8th Nov 2010 as recorded on the compromis

It looks as if we might miss this date by a few days as we had delay on the Mortgage, which thankfully has now been sorted.

My question is, is this grounds for the seller to pull out? He has already tried to withdraw previously as I suspect he had a better offer at the last minute.

So I'm a little concerned he may use this as an excuse...

Do tell the notaire(s).

Some notaires, as long as they are satisfied that everything will go ahead, and the delay will not be very long, will go ahead with the signing as planned but won't actually complete until that last vital document arrives.
