Last week I found some pet cushions on promo in Super U.  My domestic cats still prefer OUR bed or OUR sofas, but Podge the wild cat made a beeline for the new cushion, especially when it's in her favourite place:

Have just found this thread, so am posting these here now instead of other thread ref getting rid of mice!!

Couple of pics of the "killer queen" when she first arrived with us.Really scatty, but also has a great "personality"

She is about seven years old now,but in fine form.Just wonder how she will react when we come to move to france, hates travelling in the car and becomes even more vocal than normal![:)]

Ooops.Just realised I'm not on home 'puter, will have to do that later.

Re: Thanks for the good advice!

Hope I've remembered how to do this!!

Some pics from last year when she first arrived, we rehomed her due to previous owner becoming allergic.

Has settled in well now, should only be another couple of months training for us hopefully

PS. not sure if copy/paste will work, fingers crossed!!
Hi all, this is Mork and Mindy. We got them three weeks ago, and they have already taken over the best seat in the house.
What a coincidence I named my two cats Mork and Mindy some 19 years ago, Mindy is still going strong (touch wood) she doesn't get out much now but in her youth looked just liked yours, Mork was a standard tabby and Mindy a grey tabby, here she is cosying up with my new rescue pup of two months.  She is much less keen than the puppy but is putting up with her due to the warmth I think!

I've been adopted!

May I present Felix.  This little lady (yes we know, boy's name but she's a she) has had a very tough start in life.  It seems that she was tied up in a shed with a string around her neck only just long enough to reach the ground.  Also she has been kicked and scalded badly, its a miracle she is alive.  My next door neighbour (a lovely and formidible lady) heard about this and went round and took the cat, said to the 'owner' if you don't like it you know where I live.  Poor Felix had a broken leftfront leg/shoulder and no fur on her back where she had been scalded.  After much vetinary care, she can get around at some speed now and catch mice etc. The fur is growing back quite well too.  She has taken a shine to me and has sort of left my neighbour - after all she's done too!  My neighbour is OK with that as she has 3 other cats.  The amazing thing is that she craves human contact, after all that has been done to her!  If I sit on the sofa, she will come and wrap herself around my neck like a scarf, otherwise she wants to be carried everywhere, except the kitchen - she goes loony if I carry her into the kitchen, Hmmmm. So here's a pretty poor picture of her, trouble is that when I get close to her she takes it as a cue for a fuss and won't stay still - ah well

Ahh Pierre she is so lovely. It is incredible she is so loving to you after what she has been through. [:(] I hope the previous owner has been reported so she won't do it again. What she would gain from beating and scolding a cat and keeping her tied up is just beyond me, it sounds like a serious problem to me, perhaps mental. [:'(]

I hope you don't mind me posting the below link from another forum. The comments from 2heads further down the page is the reason for the link. I have never heard this before and never knew that milk could be harmful for a cat, this is why I remembered this particular thread and decided to do a search.

Hope you enjoy the lovely Felix.[:)]

Thank you for your kind words and the advice re milk.  I had been told that before so that is soya milk that Felix is enjoying (can't stand the stuff myself) which I was told is OK for cats as it has no lactose in it.  The original 'owner' was a he not a she and my neighbour, as I said a formidible lady, said she was shaking in her boots when she confronted him, more power to her. Takes a big brave man to harm a little cat then back off when confronted don't you think, you're right he has big problems.  I don't know the full story so I don't know what happened to the chap.  At least I can give Felix a home and she's a great character.  Breaks your heart when you see her walk or try to run as the leg that was injured sticks out at nearly right angles and doesn't bend.

Pierre, I have never heard that before so I will certainly remember that about soya milk in the future. Very sad for poor Felix, he sounds a horrible and evil man. Just so happy that she has finally found a loving home with one of the good guys. [:)][kiss]
OMG that could be my cat, and not all black cats look the same, but this one is just the image.  If I could work out the photo thing, I would prove it!
Does your cat have fangs tho? [:D]

Edit: And nope they don't all look the same. We had 3 black cats at one point all totally different looking!
