valB Posted March 8, 2008 Share Posted March 8, 2008 Aldi have apparently stopped selling the jars of "almost English " baked beans......any suggestions as to where I can find some apart from the English sections in supermarkets. Not for me as I am not a great lover of them ...for OH. He loves them and is getting withdrawl symptoms. I live near Melle so somewhere within easy distance of there would be a help. Chancer Posted March 8, 2008 Share Posted March 8, 2008 Yes I noticed about 6 months ago that they were no longer on the shelves, I cant say that I really miss them but they were good as a quick standby.A new Netto recently opened very near to me and I bought a huge 800g tin of almost english beans from there, I havn't tried them yet and dont know when I will ever get an opportunity without wasting most of them.Has anyone got a recipe that I could use them in suitable for taking to a dinatoire?They are Sauvenat haricots blancs à la tomate Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
