parkmoy Posted July 22, 2015 Share Posted July 22, 2015 I am visiting the Dordogne region near Brantome from 19 - 26 September. I would like to have a few days fly fishing prior to that week. I'm fairly inexperiened and have only fished small stillwaters for stocked rainbows so far, so don't really want to make a complete fool of myself on rivers Most of the stuff advertised on the web is river fishing. Can anyone recommend a suitable area for trout fishing, ponds or small lakes anywhere not too far from the route down. Obviously somewhere scenic would be great and relatively near (within 150 miles) to Brantome would be handy. Thanks in advance for your help folks.
