Golden Oriele

At long last, after hearing them for three years I have finally seen Mr&Mrs Oriele. How lovely they are; It's been a good day for wildlife

a kingfisher accompanied me along the river bank. I have been watching the baby Copyu, and a little adder was in my pond.

i've only ever seen an Oriole flying but quite obvious by it's colour - a lovely bird :)

it's the best time of year for wildlife at the moment - only one thing in short supply though and that's honey bees - i've read the reports of "mysterious bee shortage" etc but it's true, well it is round here - anyone else noticed it?
