pip24 Posted December 5, 2019 Share Posted December 5, 2019 Yes it is thats why I remember it . Don't ask me how to prune roses i think that it is different for different types. Our roses are inherited so I dont know what they are. Two of them would easily reach the roof if we let them. Another four are quite frail. Last year our French neighbour came round for a chat and started to advise on where to prune which was helpful. However after the pruning and clearing up she was still chatting and came out with "I dont know whats wrong with my roses this year they haven't flowered " ! Ground will be like a sponge to walk on.So new standard roses are heeled in, greenhouse full of pots, now hoping for a dry patch, not too cold, as there is a mass to do.
