Insurance

Recommended Posts

It depends on your property, how you let it out, the number of rooms and their capacity, whether you do food and the company you go to. It is imperative you have the right insurance, if there something you can depend on if you haven't got it someone will eventually make a claim!!
Most companies will call and assess your property and give you a devis, get 2 or 3 and go with the one that suits you best - not always the cheapest!!

We were told by our insurance comanpy (MMA) that in France the holiday maker is responsible for their own insurance. We have extra cover to protect us from damage guests might do to our property and to supply extra help if one of us is incapacitated. This cost us an extra 25 per year on our normal house and contents insurance. My broker also told me it is against the law not to tell your broker if you are running a B&B.
