Interesting Accommodation

We are driving down to Perpignan from Cherbourg beginning of July. Can anyone recommend an interesting route and B&B accommodation, en route? We want to take 3 days to drive down and will be at Cherbourg around lunchtime. Any ideas??

Unless you've had an inbox full of PMs with recommendations, you might want to be a bit clearer on how you define "interesting". Do you want to avoid all major towns, for eg? And what sort of accommodation do you like?  Chateaux? Caves? B&B / Cd'H with absolutely wonderful evening meals*? If you don't get (m)any personal recommendations, you could buy Alistair Sawday's special B&Bs in France - not an accurate recollection of the title, but you could probably find it from that.

*would be my definition. [:D]
