Diana Posted January 23, 2005 Share Posted January 23, 2005 I am opening a coffee shop (similar to Starbucks) this summer in Sainte Mere Eglise Normandy. I will be looking for an assistant during the period. I could suit someone who has taken early retirement and is now bored, or a student who will be staying with their family in the area for the summer, so much the better if they are studying catering, history or languages. If they are British they must be able to hold a simple conversation in French and if they are French to be able to hold a simple conversation in English. I would like them to have an interest in the history of the area. It goes without saying they must be clean, tidy, polite, honest and reliable etc. We are currently going through the process of setting the business up at the Chamber of Commerce and will be conforming with employment law so the person must be in a position to be paid through the proper channels.
