Part-time regional manager positions - hot tub industry

Mountain View Spas is a distributor of domestic and commercial hot tubs and related services and accessories.  We are a UK-based company with small but rapidly-growing businesses in France and French-speaking Switzerland, based near Geneva.  Many of our customers are expats, which is why we are advertising this job here!  We are looking for 2-3 English-speaking regional managers to help us grow our business, particularly in the west of France. 

We need you to represent all facets of Mountain View Spas' work in your region.  Initially, this means a mixture of sales, installation work and occasional hands-on hot tub repairs.  As the company grows, you will probably find that you spend more time on sales and customer relations, and less on deliveries and maintenance.  The right candidates will be comfortable meeting new people, practical (basic electrical and plumbing knowledge would be useful), good at expressing themselves using email and have a strong customer-service ethic.  You need to be physically fit and willing to work outdoors, but not necessarily strong (no heavy lifting is required!).  Basic French is required; strong French would be an advantage.

The business is highly seasonal, with a peak during the summer and very little work during the winter.  Even during the summer, the workload will probably not exceed 3 days per week during 2005.  You will be working independently and can largely set your own schedule.  Full training will be provided, of course!

The pay will be based on a daily rate (the largest component), plus commissions and a possible bonus.  We reimburse all your travel expenses, of course, including any mileage using your own car.

We are currently looking for 3 managers to cover the South West, Centre West (Poitou/Charentes and Limousin) and North West (Basse Normandie and Bretagne), although we can adapt the regions if necessary to suit the right candidates.  You will spend less time driving if you happen to live near one of the warehouses we use: Toulouse, Bordeaux, Limoges, Poitiers, Tours, Le Mans or Nantes.
