I put this in the 'Post Bag' section a few days ago when perhaps it is more relevant here.

The law in France apparantly states;

"If an owner advertises a French rental property in the UK, then the full contact details for that owner must be shown if that advert is "accessible" in France. As all Internet sites can be seen in France (well most) then if the website advertises a property in France without showing the name and address of the owner, then they are breaking the law in France. As the house is in France it is an easy matter to seize the property for any penalty imposed for both the owner and the advertiser.

The law in France is very clear about advertising. Any individual person may advertise as long as full contact details are openly published, a company must also have and give their company registration number and this will apply to any service provided. This makes it simple for the tax and licensing people to get their money from owners and businesses."
