They have been a great success as they greatly reduce the amount of debris both large and small going into the pre-filter, and ultimately the main filter.As a result, I have not had too backwash so often, which saves a lot of water. I have not had to clean my pre-filter for a couple of weeks either. The water quality is very stable and crystal clear. They do not affect the water flow rate through the skimmers, so a good idea?They appear expensive form what they are, 9-12 euros each. You can also get dispoable ones, but I have not tried them.And, no I am not selling them or have anything to gain by promoting them, honest. JJ Posted July 16, 2006 Author Share Posted July 16, 2006 Monti,They should be available in your local pool supplies shop, I bought 4 so that I could clean two whilst using the other two, you place them around your skimmer basket and tie them off, they need checking and cleanining every day, but that depends on how many insects visit your pool.Hope this helps.
