AnOther Posted July 18, 2008 Share Posted July 18, 2008 I've read most of the Salt-v-Chlorine posts but anybody got experience of these things ?[img]http://www.gardengames.co.uk/acatalog/saltwatersystemopt.gif[/img]I've just installed an 18x9 Intex above ground pool which came with one of these and a 2500gph pump so still getting used to it and others experiences and comments would be welcome.One thing straight away, the instructions clearly specify granular (table) salt and show the same in the instructional DVD yet the both the supplier and the guy from our local pool shop insists it should be crystal. I have to say that the granular stuff does tend to coagulate a bit and sometimes needs a stir whereas the finer crystal type dissolves completely without a problem. Acoustic Posted July 24, 2008 Share Posted July 24, 2008 I´ve been hanging on a reply to this one as well - I can buy a smaller Intex with saltwater system for the same price as a much larger version of the same thing without the system but a regular pump and I'm not sure which one to go for.
