keith dc Posted February 25, 2003 Share Posted February 25, 2003 Hi all.We have recently moved to Brittany and have eventually received a certificate from the Child Benefit Office in the UK, stating that we are no longer eligible for child benefit for our Son. Does anyone know what we're supposed to do with it now? My wife has just discovered that she's pregnant again, and we are waiting to fill in a form for Child Benefit for this baby too. val2 Posted February 25, 2003 Share Posted February 25, 2003 Go straight to your CPAM and sort it out with them. I had exactly the same problem years ago but it was sorted very easily but only after a lot of what seemed like deliberate delays by the UK in answering the french enqiry. You should get the back pay when you finally get it sorted. As regards a social security number you should have some health cover via your employment or a certificate from the DSS in the UK to cover you for a short time depending on your NI payments made previously.
