Advice on finding somewhere to live in Paris...!

Hello, A bit about me.. I am 25 F and have just been offered a job in Paris. I have never spent more than 2 days there and don't know anybody. I am looking into the general cost of living and specifically how to find somewhere to live. I currently live in London and am sharing a really nice place with 2 young profs who I met though gumtree. Are there any similar sites in France where you can find flatshares or people to look for a place with. I am thinking of either sharing with 1-2 people or finding my own place. At the moment I have found very little on the net with regards to rental accomodation in the Paris area. ... HELP!! Some advice please! Katy
