If a person recieves the new claim form in the post and there and then decides they will be deemed fit to work at an assesment . And ...does not return the forms and drops out of reciept of benefit. Would it not be reasonable to assume that a miracle cure was not delivered with the letter and previous weeks months years may have been subject of a fraudulant claim as no report of a date of  return to fitmess was made  .?  Perhaps a recovery of monies previously paid a should me made here ?

No, because the government changed the tests making it a lot tougher to pass. So when they come out with all these figures they dont say it was in part because the test was more stringent.

You need 15 points to pass

One of the criteria you recieved 15 points and was therefore entitled to IB, now its only 9...... So if your IB was being claimed under that criteria alone you would be refused, so in effect its pointless filling the form in as you could only indicate 9 points.

There are many people in this situation who were entitled to IB who know no longer qualify under the new criteria. Doesnt mean to say they were cured or the claim was fraudulant.

But saying all that, yes there are some out there, were all seen the headlines/tv programs were people abuse the system and yes they should be dealt with and monies recovered.
