JudyM Posted January 13, 2004 Share Posted January 13, 2004 Help! My trusty little Ricoh digital camera (Model RR30 Caplio) has a problem! The shutter across the lens won't close or open fully. It's not stuck, in that it will move freely with v light pressure, and the zoom lens can 'zoom' okay, but I can't take pics otherwise as there is a diagonal shadow either side of the image.I took the camera into a local dealer, and the v nice chap cleaned the lens area in case it was dust or grit or something, but it didn't solve the problem. He couldn't do any more with it as he didn't recognise the make...I'm lost without my camera! I've done a search on the Internet to try and find someone who can repair it in France (and preferably in Normandy - even better if in (14)!), and even left a message on the RICOH helpdesk. No joy: can't find an agent and didn't get an answer from RICOH.
