Bobc Posted July 7, 2004 Share Posted July 7, 2004 Further to my enquiry re connecting computers with ADSL.We have had to go back to Wanadoo as 9online only offer ADSL on their own network which is not likely to be available in our area.We opted for the 2mb package with a WiFi wireless modem/router.Having eventually got it working we discovered that there is a fault with the installation CD:An essential part of the installation is the entry of your user name, password and a cl WEP. If you are installing the box to your main PC using a USB cable, the installation omits to ask for the cl WEP and you are then unable to complete the connection.Wanadoo support will talk you through the process of logging onto the modem manufacturers website and fixing the problem.After that no problems and unbelievable speed!This may help somebody else going for the same option.Kind regards,Bob Clarkehttp://grindoux.9online.fr Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
