Dick Smith Posted September 13, 2004 Share Posted September 13, 2004 The scammers send these out (in millions) with the straplines of various banks (I've had several, none of them banks I have accounts with) in the hope that they will hit a few thousand people who DO have accounts, a few dozen of whom can be fooled into passing on their details. Law of averages + bean-brained stupidity = somewhat richer crook...Note also that the email address given is not that of SunTrust!
