BBC/ITV/Sky Problem?

Can anyone help me please, I have a Sky digibox and card, abut I seem to be having lots of problems recieving the BBC and ITV 1 channels. I can get Channel 4, 5 etc.

I have tried disconnecting the power and re-connected the co-axial but to no avail.

So I would appreciate any help and advice.

I assume this is not a new installation and that you previously had no problems with the same equipment in the same location. Also that no trees have gown up buiding been erected since everything was Ok.

 

Roughly what percentage does the signal strength and quality show up on the SKY menu ?   What do you get on 501 and 333 ? Which of the Radio Station from 851 to 856 do you receive ?

 

If the system worked fine last summer but does not work well now it is likely you have been affected by moves on channels between the satellites

 

Try using ( on the Sky remote control)

5 Manual tuning to compare the signal quality and strength for specific frequencies.

 

I believe BBC 1 is 10817 Hz / H for Horizontal 

And SKY News is 11778 Hz  / H

 

If SKY is much better probably dish needs slightly realigning/ LNB Skewing to improve reception ASTRA 2D
