can i get ITV and BBC through cable

Is there any cable providers or any through the phone line providers who include BBC1 and ITV? Would be really grateful for help as we are possibly moving to an apartment where a satallite dish would be unsuitable.

I'm not sure as we have not gone ahead with the rental yet. I was also wondering if there was some service that one can get provided thro a phone line that would allow BBC1 etc

If you are lucky you may find that the cable operator offers BBC Prime, BBC World, or BBC News 24. Which are a bit like watching UK Gold - a BBC Greatest Hits Channel. You are very unlikely to find BBC1 to 7 due to our old friend copyright problems

BJSLIV - You're quite right; I can't see ANY French cable or satellite companies bothering with any of the UK's 'domestic' services, because of the rights issues plus the fact their wouldn't be the slightest interest from anyone but the expats. Strange, however, that it doesn't seem to be a problem for the Benelux countries where their cable companies have carried BBC1/2 and ITV for years. Odd, what?
