Hi everyone, just a quickie, has anyone experienced problems running msn messenger video conversation whilst connected to wanadoo??? I am currently onto my third list of instructions from msn to try and rectify the issue, but if anyone esle has had similar problem, please let me know if you sorted it or if i am gonna go mad trying!!

Where the problems might lie will depend on the exact

details of the problem you are experiencing.

MSN Messenger has a load of “issues” when trying to traverse

firewalls.  There is no inherent problem

(as far as I am aware anyway) with Wanadoo. 

However, I would check the firewall situation (at both your own and the

other end).  If you have firewalls (e.g.

software ones or e.g. in ADSL modem Livebox, etc.) you need to make sure that full

UPnP is enabled and working.  There are

many levels to this (including e.g. Windoze XP services, etc.)  there is an excellent (free) UPnP test

program at http://www.mgillespie.plus.com/ - the UPnP Test link in the top

section or actually http://www.junegillespie.plus.com/UPnPTest.exe – to download.  This both tests the UPnP (your side) and

provides advice on what may be wrong where a particular test fails (does 8

different tests all of which should pass to have UPnP working).  Try to get the person at the “other end” to

do the same tests.
