Land line & internet connection

Hi all

This is my first forum message so hopefully it works OK.

My question is does anyone have any advice on which service to go for for phone & internet.

We currently have a landline with French telecom but as we are now spending up to eight weeks a year in France (79) I need to hace access to the internet mostly for emails as I run my own business & I need to keep in contact while I am away.

Any recommendations?

I am with SFR. No problems at all so far.

Do you already have your phone on the "residence secondaire" tarrif?  means a big saving in line rental over the year.

For internet, I have just signed up for the "decouverte internet" option (broadband) with FT/Orange.  €19.90/month but by writing to Bordeaux and changing the service to access libre (free dial-up) before and after each trip, you only pay when the broadband is on..  I still pay the €3.00/month for the livebox of course.
