Stray cat

Recommended Posts

I've got several cats, but recently this one appeared and has decided to adopt us (for the moment!). He arrived with an awful wound round his neck, which is now healing, but the one between his shoulder blades got bigger, but has now scabbed over. The pictures were taken through a window as I can't get near him. At first I thought he had been tethered by the neck, but the wound seemed too wide for that, unless he had a collar; but he would only have that if he was a loved pet I presume. I did wonder if he had been burnt, but I really don't know what has happened to him. Any suggestions?

Funny thing Rob Roy, some months ago I rescued a little oldie from a pound.  He had no hair on the rear end and around the neck which continued making the vague mark of a harness.  When this was taken it had already healed a bit, but it looked as if he had been burnt.

It has all now grown back and he has a normal coat and has put on weight.  We still call him "le petit brulé", though maybe it was mange or some sort of allergy.
