Zeus, Beauceron X , adopted by his foster mum!

Recommended Posts

Call for URGENT help for this handsome young Beauceron cross.  Zeus (who is about 6 months old) was found wandering in Cahors last Friday and was picked up by the Fourrière and brought to the Refuge Canin Lotois in Cahors.  He has a fracture of a front leg which sadly has not been given medical attention.  As a consequence he will have to have this leg amputated at the shoulder.  A date has been fixed for this to be done on 12 July.

Now we urgently need to find him a foster home where he can convalesce safely as soon as he has had his operation.  Is anyone able to foster and care for this young dog as soon as he has had his operation???  All his medical costs will be covered by the Refuge and we can organise transport.  Please get in touch as soon as possible if you feel you can help this lovely young dog.  He should make a full recovery if we can find a calm, safe haven for him.  Conditions at the Refuge are just not suitable to care for a dog after such an operation.

Great news - a volunteer has come forward to take care of Zeus!  She will take him home tomorrow to give him time to settle with her before his amputation on 12 July.  Then he will convalesce with her.  I'll keep you posted on progress as Zeus will be looking for a new home as soon as he has recovered!  He is a lovely young dog, very affectionate and will make a great companion for someone, even on 3 legs!  He is a special dog!!

Get in touch if you think you can offer Zeus a home once he has recovered!!!

More great news in that Zeus has fully recovered from his operation to amputate a front leg.  He is fighting fit and full of energy and has quickly adapted to life on 3 legs!  He now goes for good walks and his shoulder has healed well.  His foster mum now feels he is ready to go to a new home as soon as one can be found.  She will keep him with her for the time being - naturally she is very, very fond of him!

Zeus is well socialised and confident, loves to play with other dogs and is fine with cats, horses and, of course, people.  And is used to going in a car.  All in all a super young dog who would love to find a family to have fun with.

Please get in touch if you think you could offer Zeus a home!!!

Here he is (with the red collar) in his foster home with his friends!

I am just bringing Zeus back up to the top - I don't want him to be forgotten!!

This lovely dog is doing really well now - but he needs to find a forever home as soon as possible where he can settle in and begin a new life with a family.  He is such a lovely young lad, after all he has been through so far, he deserves his chance to find a home of his own very soon!!!

If you could offer Zeus a home with you, please get in touch.  His foster mum is very, very fond of him now, but she wants the best for him for the future and would love to see him settled permanently.

If you would like to visit Zeus, we can arrange this.  We can also arrange transport for him if necessary.

THANKS!!
