Hi

I am moving to France (dept 87) next month and want to get a border terrier pup quite soon after arriving.  Does anyone know of any breeders near to our area? [:)]

Umm, not a Border, but if you would like a Parson Russell Terrier, email me.  We had a litter of 4 in March, 1 male left, LOF registered, chipped and vaccinated, superb linage, a handsome chap !

Thanks pcwhizz, but I have set my heart on a border terrier.  If you hear of any please let me know. I've run out of time to get one here and did'nt want to transport it over on an overnight ferry.

I have only ever seen one Border Terrier whilst I have been in France and it belonged to a Scottish couple who had brought the dog with them when they moved to France. I approached them to ask - being nosey - as it was such an unexpected joy to see one here. I have a soft spot for the breed as I was given a BT pup for my 7th birthday by a local breeder when we lived in Berwick-upon-Tweed a long time ago.

But to the point - IMHO you might need to get one from the UK.

I hope someone else knows differently.

This sounds like a very feisty little dog but I was a little put off the website when Mme Charmeaux suggested that you start off your BT in his hunting career by teaching him to hunt otter.  [:(]  I have always tried to be accepting of hunting in France,  it is what some people do............. but hunting otters...............?  I didn't know they did that.[:(][:(]
