Eskenazi Posted July 13, 2005 Share Posted July 13, 2005 We will be moving to France in mid - September & have not yet enrolled our 7 year old and 13 year old, because of uncertainty about the move. Can anyone tell me if the fact that they were not enrolled at the 'right' time, means that they can't join schools either in September or January? Many thanks. Mistral Posted July 14, 2005 Share Posted July 14, 2005 The state schools have to accept any child over 6 who lives in their "zone de recrutement" . My school gets several children every year who arrive during the school year. They are supposed to have a exeat or certificat de radiation to prove that they have really left their own school, but that wouldn't be expected from a child coming from abroad.
