Price of diesel in France

Hi

We are about to change our car and are thinking of getting a diesel land rover, having driven around most of france in a range rover, never been really bothered about the price of fuel, but just been looking on the web and it seems that diesel is very cheap, well compared to the UK anyway. We'll be moving to france next year, and whilst we won't have to watch every penny, might be good to get off to a good start fuel wise.

This weekend the price varied between 0.93 and 0.97 per litre on the A20 travelling down to Limousin region

As of Tuesday evening supermarket price Euro 0.84 a litre, worse case Autoroute Euro 0.94. Longterm French fiscal policy is energy harmonisation therefore diesel wil rise in price faster than petrol. Unless you drice less than KM 12000 per year buy deisel

ie 83 euro cents or 83 pence uk
pay more in rural areas cheaper in supermarkets
about third cheaper or 50% more expensive for french residents
rises and falls as uk about 55 pence now

Good God. You must like punishiment. Swapping a R/R for a L/R. Why not swap for a diesel R/R? Fuel is around 84c.
