Homer Posted July 26, 2004 Share Posted July 26, 2004 Hello to all bird lovers!We are moving to France, and would like to hear from any ex Brits which have continued with their chosen hobby of racing pigeons, either from Spain or from up into Germany,....for those readers which do not like, or fully understand what racing pigeons are fully capable of achieving from long distance's I should be only too happy to inform you what these wonderfull feathered friends accomplished during the first two world wars. I should add of course, that these are NOT the same pigeons that are a nuisance to town dwellers. On saturday the 25 July the Midlands National Racing Club, liberated just over two thousand pigeons from Bergerac at 6,o5am, arriving into the midlands at7.30pm the same day....none stop!
