Driving French car in UK - lights

Next week my wife is going back to the UK for a few days. It will be

the first trip back since we moved here, and she is taking our French

car. She asked me earlier whether we need to get some headlight beam

converters.

I must confess I hadn't really thought about this. I've always used

them when bringing a RHD car to France for a holiday, but before we

moved over here I drove our French car in the UK for about a month and

never even thought about converting the headlamps.

Anyone know the official position on this?

Thanks,

Rob

Personally, I don't bother to convert mine when I visit the UK. My headlamps have a height adjustment knob and I simply adjust them down and have never had a problem.

If you are really keen however, I noticed that the shop on the ferry (Brittany Ferries) sells beam converters for French to English as well as the other way around.
