The number of times I've been overtaken by a people carrier with a tiny, tiny trailer on the back, and watched the well overloaded trailer actually leave the road as it's suspension, (if any) can't cope with the bumps at speed.

An accident waiting to happen.[:'(]

Near where I live in the UK, was a terrible dip and crest, only about a metre or so, but it REALLY un-weighted cars etc that didn't know it was there. The local council was asked may times to do something, but trotted out the usual about "no dangerous roads, just dangerous drivers", until one day, matey with a large trailer took it, the trailer came detached, and struck and killed an oncoming driver.

It's patched  and flattened now. I still don't know how they avoided a lawsuit.

That happened to us on the way to Bordeaux in Feb - though it was a

white van rather than a people carrier.  Took a roundabout at

ridiculous speed and the whole thing flipped over.  We were just

grateful we were a reasonable distance behind.
