Sapeurs going slowly

This week I've noticed two different sets of Sapeurs in each case driving large Renualt Master vans, all blue lights flashing, but travelling very slowly - when I saw the first lot I assumed it was a particular set of circmustances, but having seen two lots doing the same, I'm wondering if it's a policy of some kind?

It is probably when they are transporting someone who is very ill or injured.

Very often someone who is dead, therefore there is no need for urgency.

We used to live near to Stoke Mandeville hospital and it was policy with broken backs and necks and such injuries to travel at just a few miles per hour because the state of the roads made injuries worse during transport.

...or they wanted to delay the possibility of either meeting Jimmy Savile or contracting MRSA for as long as they could.

(Sorry about the bad taste joke, but mother in law lives near there too, and picked up some serious infections so I know what it's like)

Yes Will it has had bad luck recently regarding the dreaded germs HOWEVER, they saved my BIL life when he was on chemo and had life threatening sceptasaemia and also with a lot of his treatment. Don't mention JS, lives on another planet that one and boy is he is scruffy and dirty when we have been in there over the years.
