Chancer
You can re-use and avoid throwing away bags of cement, plaster, enduit, colle carrelage etc that have gone off if you buy a tamis (seive), it will pay for itself the first time that you use it not to mention the buggeration factor of buying a new bag on a Saturday afternoon, taking the old ones to la dechetterie etc.I have been doing this for several years and have made big savings, even materials where the bags have been left open for a couple of years can usually be saved. Nick Trollope
The problem with old chemical-dry products, like plaster, is that they go off too quick and lose strength. Does sieveing it fix this?
BIG MAC
No Nick it doesn't and I have noticed using old cement in concrete can make it weaker with a surface more ready to spall
sheldonrobbo
most cement and plasters go off with age ....thats why they have a date on the bag....sieving will only return them to a powdered state....not make them as good as new sheldon
