val douest
For those of you who don't already know it, there is a fascinating website called the Cottage Smallholder (http://www.cottagesmallholder.com/). Its subheading is Stumbling self sufficiency in a small space and apart from being a fascinating read it is full of inexpensive but interesting recipes, advice on growing and using garden produce, keeping poultry etc, all so well written (the author is a a journalist turned smallholder) that they are worth reading for their own sake. Although it is UK based, lots of the information is just as useful here in France. Good photos too!
