Dendens Posted July 17, 2004 Share Posted July 17, 2004 Hi from Ireland, like the website!Anyways the parents (mother in fact more so!) has asked me to ask what is best way of getting the electricity installed. We have a small cotte being renovated in Brittany and need to install the electricity in the near future. Do we approach the EDF board or is there any criteria we should chck first beofre approaching them. Any information regarding this would be gratefully recieved.Cheers!! Kergano Posted July 17, 2004 Share Posted July 17, 2004 You can ask the EDF to give you a temporary supply while you are renovating, if the property is not wired. If the property is already wired you can get the EDF to connect you straight away. However a new installation has to be inspected and approved before the EDF will connect. You can do a search on this forum to get more information, as the requirements of the French system differ greatly from the requirements in the UK and I guess from those in Ireland.ian Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
