External lighting - lantern style

Don't know if this should be here or in the Gardening forum, so I'll try here.

We have three external, base mounted lantern-style lights in the garden - fairly chunky, about 67 cm in height:

They are rusting pretty badly, and the electrical connections are shot.  I would like to replace them, but all the Bricos I've visited only seem to sell cheap, tinny (and tiny!) units which really are not suitable.  I'd like to replace them with something as substantial as the originals.

Does anyone know of an outlet which might specialise in this sort of product?

We're in the Correze.

Hi, I went through a similar problem trying to find decent exterior lights in France and I know how difficult it is. I was looking for some authentic iron exterior lights to be fitted on the exterior stone walls of our house. I didn't like the ones already there and I had to add a few more as well. I searched for many months, all of the bricolages as you say are horrible and tinny and searched the internet as well, many were well over €300 each particularly in France. I did buy some old ones on ebay from the UK and paid a lot of money to have them delivered to France and once here I wasn't happy with them (I am still getting flak from my husband so will put them on ebay and resell at some stage [:$]).

I finally found the one below that was new from Leroy Merlin, it looks much better in reality than in the photo and I still can't believe they were only €49.50 each! It looks and feels of wrought iron and are quite heavy and now they are finally up and I love them. They look very authentic.

I did a search on their site and came up with the second base mounted one below that appears to be made exactly of the same materials of the ones I bought and is the same price. Unfortunately, it isn't the same design that you currently have because of the top part. I would recommend having a look because as I said they look much better in reality than in the photo. By the way, on the Leroy Merlin website they show both the ones I bought and this one in white you must click on and select the option in black to see the photos I posted.

Hi, the first link in my post above is base mounted the second one is wall mounted (edit: I have just removed the wall mounted link in my previous post to avoid confusion [:)]). The wall mounted one is the one we bought and are very happy.

I too have noticed how slow the site is and I am on broadband. The below is the base mounted link again:

I am sorry mods, the links in my previous post have been shortened, unfortunately I don't know how to do it myself so sorry to do it to you again.
