At long last we have managed to get a plumber to fit new piping from our tank after TotalGaz took away the big old eyesore and buried the new one for us.[:)]

We know that the certificate of conformity has to go to Qualigaz to be authenticated and then returned to us before TotalGaz will fill the tank and quite understand why.

Does anyone know what sort of time scales are involeved in sending the certificate to Qualigaz and then having it returned to allow us to get the tank filled please?  [8-)]

We are due out in a couple of weeks time and it would be good to have hot water running to the shower.  We are just outside Souvigny, Allier

With Totalgaz the Plumber, provided he is PG and associated with TotalGaz, is authorised to sign for the distributor as well as his installation

With other suppliers the distributor must sign the Certificate

Turn around of the Certificate from Qualigaz is normally by return post so it only takes a couple of days

You should get your tank filled fairly quickly

New tanks normally are inspected by the distributor prior to filling to ensure the sacrificial anodes are working to protect the tank

Sometimes ther can be a delay if the distributors inspector is busy as they usually, but not always, do not fill the tank until they have their own inspectors report
