Changing the use of a door onto the main square.

Hi All.

I’m planning to extend my kitchen by replacing the external door, which is one of two external front doors which are on the village square, what I intend to do is to replace this old kitchen door with a D/G window perched on a concrete block wall of just over a metre high. What I am trying to find out is what type of permis would I require?

Why not go to your mairie initially and chat it through first with them?

It may be they will say you can do this without any further hassle.
