  1. In Montlaur, a village in the Corbières 20 minutes South of Carcassonne, the watchword is: "cultivate to resist". On Saturday 12 & Sunday 13 May there will take place the third edition of the free festival "Rebrousse Poil". "Nature & Humour". The organising association, welcomes once again the visitors to discover together nature in an offbeat and funny way: the clandestine setup of a vegetable garden in the heart of the village, land art, botanic-poetic-musical walks, exhibitions, workshops, films, a dinner-concert (with the band "Samenakoa" on Saturday night), a wide selection of books to cultivate your brain as well as your garden, etc. On Sunday 13 May: a plant swap, a tasting by winemakers and a lecture on biodiversity. Entrance free (admission to the concert: €5). For further information, please visit rebroussepoil.jimdo.com
  2. Christian Baillat, organic wine maker in the Corbières, has invited storyteller Hélène Bardot and musician Christophe Delmond to perform "Café-Conte 1907" (about the wine-growers uprising in 1907) in the cellar of Domaine Baillat.  The show will be followed by a dinner in the house. To fully enjoy the evening, a basic understanding of the French language would be an advantage. Location: Domaine Baillat - 31 avenue de Malbec - 11220 Montlaur Time: Friday 27 March, 7:30pm Costs (show and dinner): € 16 Bookings: Ph: 04 68 24 08 05 - email: [email protected] Further info from: http://helene-bardot.blogspot.com/2008_06_05_archive.html
