Yes this all does seem a minefield. We are currently gathering the materials to install our fosse and filter and unless you buy an installation kit, ( wait about 4 weeks) the builders yards seem very ignorant of some of the materials being asked for .ie. geogrille as opposed to textile etc. Has anyone else found this?  Or am I just missing the fact that geotextile and geogrille are the same. On the matter of cost, we were quoted 6500 euros for a system 18 months ago, with a pump out of the sandfilter, but have had to resort to guided diy because of costs. I expect this has increased even more now.

Thanks, Got that far before, but although I completed the smpt box in the set up wizard, still doesn't seem to be able to contact the orange server. We can send mails from the orange mail site, but by using Thunderbird.It just says can't find smpt server..... Colin

Can anyone help please? I am trying to use thunderbird for emails, went through the set as shown on the screen and can receive mails with no problems.....but as soon a I try to send one, it just gives an error message and says it cannot find the server and the configuration must be wrong. Have checked and checked, i can only send emails through the Orange mailer....must have doen something wrong, but what? Colin
