  1. Sorry will make myself clearer.  I have a frequent traveller card,  if I recommend someone to book a crossing, they can use my membership number and receive the guest member discount, I in return receive at the end of the year, ie when my next membership money is due, vouchers of £10 for each guest member booking in the previous year to use soley for a full membership booking.   I got my first voucher last October when my membership was last due.    Previously it was just 3 guest members each year.  I did ring up and clarify this with BF.  Good news for us as my son often travels as a foot passenger when visiting from uni, so its £10  each time he visits!   And as sometimes its as cheap to book single crossings I guess that will be £20?

  2. Hi everyone,

Thank you all for your replies.....   I have downloaded Firefox, it certainly seems quicker than IE.   But guess what?   When I do a search on google, it still redirects??    When it redirects often Norton pops up to say it has blocked an intrusion and if a click on the back arrow it takes me to the site I wanted,   I have spy botted and done a full system scan with Norton antivirus 2°009 that says I have no virus,   so what now??????  Its really frustrating...

  3.

Can anyone advise me,  when I do a search and the page comes up with what I have searched, when I click the site I want it starts up and then redirects to another site, usually a gaming or selling site.   I have  Norton firewall and antivirus, and I have full system scanned, plus a sybot scan, nothing shows up,  I have deleted all my temporary files and cookies and history,  what is it? whatcan I do???

  4. peut-être!

Yes Lollie does have a job for life,   mother, wife, banker, cleaner, nurse, cook, taxi driver, amongst others  ..............

harsh, perhaps,  but as I and my 6ft 16yr old son had exactly the same suitcases, amongst many others in the queue I suspect she went for the soft option.

  5. Having travelled thru East Midlands recently with Ryanair, I find it a little discomforting security wise that the security are only concerned with your luggage and no one checked out passports except for the ryanair girl at the gate as we boarded who at the same time as checking boarding card, passport was also looking to see how much hand luggage you had and whether it was the right size!   No wonder we sat on the plane for over half an hour before take off as the count at the gate did not match the count on the plane!!!   Still I hope the gate girl got the sack as it was my 14 year old daughter she picked on to put her case in the measuring basket!!   Which brings me on to a tip;   put the case in upside down as otherwise the wheels cause it not to go in!!
  6. cept for Sundays!!!!   shame that it lands in Marseille at 11.30 at night and often returns at 6.30 am in the morning as would have been a nice weekend break!!!

Booked last week  8.30 am flight leaving Nantes Wednesday of Ascension weekend returning Sunday at 19.30pm, now had to cancel as changed all flight times and instead of having 5 days down south, was left with 2.

Wonder why they closed such a popular route as London Nantes?

  7. Options to Nantes are.       East Midlands, Liverpool or Bournemouth.   Ryanair

                                              Manchester Rennes   Flybe.com !!

Otherwise Ryanair fly Stansted to La Rochelle.   well they did last month!!!!

    Bonne chance

  8. Yes Ryanair has stopped their flight Nantes to Stansted as I posted some time ago;   No flights after 29th March.   They are fliying Nantes Bournemouth though, all summer as usual.   Easyjet has no flights to Nantes this year either.    It has been quoted in the press that Ryanair are cutting their flights from Stansted by one third due to airport costs. I know someone who uses the nantes stansted route weekly and has now started booking Dinard Stansted.

  9. They haven"t withdrawn from Nantes, as they are still flying all summer to East Midlands, Liverpool, Shannon Dublin and Bournemouth has resumed,  it just seems to be Stansted, I am wondering if they will take over the easyjet Gatwick to Nantes slot as they are changing several of their flights from Stansted to Gatwick;   one lives in hope!  Thanks for keeping me informed of the chit chat, keep it up

  10. Looks like it, still no flights showing after March, a friend asked last time at Stansted, and was told they knew nothing and would be the last to know!!!    I have also emailed easyjey asking about the Nantes Gatwick that is not showing for this summer either,  there response was automated and told me nothing!!  Let me know if you hear anything please!

  11. Not Nantes to Gatwick though!    It shows on their flight map but no flight dates show when you try to book,   and as Ryanair no longer fly from Nantes to Stansted after March, No airline now flys from Nantes to London!!!   Nantes is hardly a small airport,   when we first arrived BA and Air France both flew to London,  Both pulled out when Ryanair  arrived.  Still as a northerner, for the first time whilst here in France we can get to the North by air whilst unable to get to London!

  13. Is it possible to connect an english VHS player:recorder to a french TV and DVD recorder to copy old VHS tapes to DVD's.???   We have bought a DVD recoredr and after a lesson from the man from Auchan can now copy from the sky decoder and french TV, but we  cannot work out how the copy the aforementioned, although the man from auchan said it is possible.  Could it be because its an old UK VHS recorder?

    Thanks in anticipation
