1.
Anybody else remember the very early days of an earlier version of this forum, where a group of us gatecrashed the Living France stand at Vive la France, nicked their wine (though they didn't have a corkscrew?) and had a generally great time - including going all the way through the Loire wine tasting course with relish, more than once, or maybe that's my memory playing tricks? I think almost everybody else from that event - with the exception of Judie (now a 'pushy estate agent', Punch) and me - has moved on or been banned, but we are still in touch with many of them. It was certainly a much bigger event then.
Hi Will, Im glad you all enjoyed the wine [;-)] There'll be more where that came from at the 2009 show! As well as the wine tasting we are also putting on: Jean-Christophe Novelli’s RestaurantMusic Stage - Live Music, Dancing and EntertainmentChampagne and Oyster BarTravel Activity CentreWine TastingLive Cookery Demonstrations by Top Chefs including Jean-Christophe NovelliThe UK’s Largest Exhibition of French PropertyProperty Buying SeminarsHoliday Ideas and Travel SeminarsLanguage Product Demonstrations and SeminarsFashion, Art, Shopping, Can Can Dancers, ShowgirlsAnd much, much more! 2. Hi Franceophiles! [:D] My name is Chris, and I am involved in helping out with an event called "The France Show 2009" set at London's Earls Court. The France Show is the UK's largest celebration of France and French living including cookery with Jean-Christophe Novelli, wine-tasting, travel, property, French markets, Can-Can dancers and much much more! The show has been running for a few years now (some of you might have been to it hopefully [:)]) and every year the organisers offer free tickets for a limited time. The show is getting larger every year and we are spreading the word about the delights and culture that France has to offer! If you would like to take part in the celebration you can book your free tickets here: http://www.thefranceshow.com/pre-register.aspx. The show is running from the 9-11th of January 2009 at Earls Court in London. We also have a Facebook page! Stop by and say hi! Hope to see you there [:D] Chris
