Our half term dates in Surrey are w/c 27th Oct which is a week later than normal

We are coming over to France on Saturday, arriving in Boulogne and I was just wondering what the average cost of a litre of diesel is? There was something in the British press recently about how little difference there is between the cost of diesel between the two counties.   I’m just thinking that if the difference is not great then I might as well fill up over here before leaving, rather than getting caught behind everyone else who has just got of speedferries! In a couple of weeks time we shall be travelling back up through France after a two week holiday. Our plan is to visit the old quarter of Limoges on the way back, but in the past all we could find was the modern shopping streets.   Can anyone give us some pointers in which directions to head to find the more historic area?   Many thanks

Thanks for all the replies. In the past when trying to change this basic booking on line I have been presented with an error message saying, as a basic ticket you cannot amend it. It has just let me change the number plate on line. Not sure why it has let me now, but would not back in Feb, but who cares......!

We are due to travel with Speedferries at the beginning of August on a ticket booked many months ago. The ticket is a basic one, therefore we cannot make amendments to it. Since booking the ticket we have changed our car. It still fits into the standard car dimensions as per speedferries web site - just!!   When booking the ticket we had to enter the cars number plate which obviously is now incorrect. Has anyone else travelled across in a different car to which the original booked was made for?   I plan to just chance my luck, but the wife is a bit nervous about it.

Hi. I was just wondering if anyone could help me out with some advice on the following queries I have regarding "doofers"? 1)   I have seen other posts on here that mention registering a French debit card or an English credit card when applying on line. Does anyone know whether it is possible to register an English debit card? 2)   Does the doofer work with every toll in France or is there an exception to this rule? As there seems to be with most rules! 3)   If the doofer is not used for a period of time does it become inactive? I have this fear of being in the auto lane with a queue of French drivers stuck behind me and my dodgy doofer! many thanks
