  1. Hi, I live in N Ireland at the moment and I am receiving DLA, but I am moving to France in May this year (just under 9 weeks) so I suppose I will have to go through all the problems that your all having, so I am watching with intrest as to what the situation is.

The web address for the DLA in Belfast is:  www.ssani.gov.uk hope this helps.

  2. I  have a Nissan Terrano and have looked in the Handbook but not sure if there is a C of C.  My car is just 5 years old and I live at the moment in N Ireland and am moving to France in May this year and will have to register my car in France. I phoned Nissan UK customer services (the number is 019230899334 email is [email protected] ) which happened to be a call centre on the Antrim Road in Belfast N Ireland, they emailed the form to me to  fill in and to post it back along with a cheque for £111 and they would send me out a C of C. But I have since read on the Forum that if you go to Nissan France you can get a C of C from them and it costs about 67.38euro so not sure what to do. I suppose it might be better to get one for £111 and at least I would have it, all ready to go to the CT. Has anyone else encountered any problems registering a Nissan Terrano in France. I would love to hear from them.
  3.  My husband and I are retired and we are moving to France in May09 and we would like to rent long term for about 2 years a 2 or 3 bed house furnished or partly unfurnished, with a garden and outside storage for our caravan, we have a small dog (yorkshire terrier). It must be Dept 24 or 46 either near Sarlat/ Domme or Gourdon in a rural area. If anyone knows of some place could you e mail me.

                           Thanks Sue

  4. Hi Nell, We are moving to France in April 09 and wish to rent long term in dept 24 or 46 we would ideally like to be near my brother who lives near Domme. Can you email me with the rental company that you rented from as I have been to a few in Gourdon but could not find one that would do rentals.

We would like to find an unfurnished house if possible but furnished would do to start with.

                                            Thanks Susan (rockstitch)

  5. HI SUE, I DID READ THAT IF YOU RENT AN UNFURNISHED PROPERTY THERE IS A MIN OF 3 YEARS RENTAL. IF YOU RENT A FURNISHED PROPERTY IT DOES NOT HAVE A SPECIFICED RENTAL LENGTH. IF YOU GO ONTO FRENCHLOCATIONS.CO.UK, IT WILL GIVE YOU SOME MORE INFORMATION ON THIS.

  6. Hi, We are moving to France at the beginning of May next year and are planning to rent long term or until our house in the UK is sold. I have tried lots of different web sites on the internet, but most are for holiday lets, I do know that rentals in France are let furnished to be legal. We do have our own furniture but if we could find a place large enough or a barn to store our furniture that would be ideal. Can anyone give me the web address of a long term rental in the area 24 possibly near Domme, Gourdon or Sarlat.

                                    Thank you Susan (rockstitch)

  7. [:D] We are selling our house at the moment and are making the move to France next year April 2009 when I will get my UK state pension. We have been looking online but cannot find the place we want in the area we want. The area is Sarlat or surrounding area, my brother lives near Cenac, by Domme. Can anyone give me the web address of any immobliers in that area. We will be over in that area staying with my brother and his better half in May for a few weeks also August for about 7 weeks and intend to have a good look around then.  In the meantime I will be educating myself with all the health issues etc:
