I am about to show how stupid I am! Lived in Marseille for many years and had to exchange my english licence for a French one.  Had to move back to England.  Carried on using my French licence until my bag was stolen.  Applied for a replacement English licence.  Now I want my French one back.  Is there any way of doing this without having to go through the whole rigmarole again just by saying I lost my French one?  They will have all my details so will know that I used to have one.  Evidently the address on the old one is no longer valid anyway.    Also have old Carte de Sejour can I simply renew that? Advice please!!

Loobles here thank you to all who not only gave me some great advice but also gave me a good laugh!  Great repartee between a number of my advisers.  Another little question- I know I have vrillettes which I believe are woodworm (had a timber report on buying the house) no mention of Capricornes.  How would I know if they were  there?  I had a termite check but gather that these are only good for 3 months.  What are the signs, apart from the house falling down of course.   This will certainly not be the last of my pleas for advice so hope you don't get tired of reading my pathetic cries for help!    

Hello, This is my first time on this forum so I apologise if (as I imagine must be the case) this question has already been asked and answered.  I have the inevitable woodworm + conflicting advice as to what steps to take.  Problem is that they are destroying the floor although haven't got very far into the beams.  Can I treat this myself or do I need to have the whole house done by a professional and if so does anyone know of a good one in the Charente?    Thank you to anyone who can be bothered to read this!
