Hi, Well I'm 39 and Phil is a very young 56! and we pick the keys up to our new house in 16 (Chassiecq) a week tomorrow. Phil will be moving over permanently when we sell our house in Hampshire and I will be commuting at weekends from London. Still have 2 and a bit years to do in the Royal Navy. We both ride bikes and both know how to party!!!! We're coming over for a week next Friday with our mate Nigel who used to race in The IOM Grand Prix. Would be great to meet folks who live locally! Andy, My husband and I Phil are moving to Charente (16) when we sell our house in the UK however we pick up keys to our Farmhouse on 19th April. We both ride bikes and Phil will be going out before me. Would be good to get in touch. Don't know about any track days though, however the roads are brill!!! We hope to set up a bike friendly gite either later this year or early next year. Have fun Biker Bint (but only when it's sunny)  

Wouldn't really say older! I'm 39 tomorrow and Phil is 56..(my sugar Daddy). But yes he will be retiring and I intend to do part-time work as a community autonomous Nurse Practitioner when I leave the Navy in 3 years time. And yes...unfortunately no children...just 2 cats and several motorcycles, which we know that due to the horse power restrictions we may have to sell some of before our move!

Nikki and Matt, We had the same pipe dream about 2 years ago after several holidays in France...however after much research etc returned from our first house viewing in Charente this morning and.....well we think and hope we have found our dream house and have put an offer in. My husband will go out permanentlt but I work in the UK so will commute at weekends but only for next 3 years and then I'm out too. We also have 2 cats.
