Has anyone had any experience of one of these little gadgets....

Have a look at Free.fr...we pay 29.99 per month and get all french calls free ( except mobile) and most international ( inc UK USA spain etc)...also ADSL...we do not have a FT line and all seems to work well although we  did have a problem that when it went dark the line went off...but now fixed and no probs

So Ernie...do you hink it is safe to have and use

All the missing channels seem to be on Astra 2D...is that significant ??

Just been checking and find I can receive some channels but not BBC ITV C4 C5.....can get as I have said Sky 3 but also amongst others Sc4 Zone Reality Zone Thriller Film 24 Info Tv  (ch 166) BBC Alba Red (ch180) Ben (ch 184) Nuts TV (ch 196) Pulse (197) Sky news (ch 501) BBC news 24 (ch 503) I think means the cabling from the box to the dish must  be OK...would you agree....could it be that LNB is not picking up all channels and is there any link with the one I am receiving.

OK..i have swapped boxes over and when I tried the good working box the result was the same as with the poor box ( radio and Sky 3 only) So I imagine the problem must be with cabling to LNB or the LNB itself.....do you agree or is it likly to be anything else

no yet.....I shall do that this next and  report  back...your help is much appreciated

I can signal strength is much lower on poor performing box 

But I am receiving Sky 3 tv perfectly...and all radio stations......can I dust swap one card to another sky box ?

Thanks for all advice. I am going to swap  over the two boxes I have to see if the problem is the same. If is solves the problem then either the box or card is at fault..if not it must be the LNB I guess......any ideas how I can illimiate the card as being at fault

The dish has 2 LND (?) and the other TV is perfect so I guess it is aligned OK...would you agree....how do I do a software download please

Cathy just tried that but no change..exactly as before Sky 3 and radio all OK

Just setting up my TV and sky box. No problems with Samsung TV. I have been using the skybox for BBC Radio 4 upyo now and it has been perfect. But Tv screen is telling me "No satellite signal is being received" However BBC Radio 4 and other radio stations all fine and so is TV station Sky 3. I do not have Sky subscription. Can anyone help me please with any advice

The problem is the same through out the year...no change during school hols...

Yes.it goes off earlier in the winter...in Dec about 4.00 pm

Ligne téléphonique : ** ** ** ** ** Raccordée actuellement en offre Freebox Only 2432 Kbits NRA : GDF66 Longueur : 3940 mètres Affaiblissement : 45 dB But when it gets dark the signal becomes very weak and finally breaks down and the connextion remains down till the next morning once it is light when it eventually reconnects I seem to get no help or advice from free.fr.....any ideas what may be the cause and any remedies Thanks and hoping   Post edited by a moderator, please do not post your personal contact details on the forum

It is described by Free.fr as un chenillard lent ou lent/rapide....it the stage just after 8888....does that make sense

I dont know if anyone can help me   We have Free.fr for phone nad internet. Each evening as it gets dark my internet connection goes down and stays down till the next morning. Can't seem to get any sense out of Free.fr.....any ideas what the problem may be and how I can solve it   Ta
