1.
.... However, for some reason they have specifically excluded the Lights and Indicators from their attestation ?  furthermore this attestation might also be saying that the Speedo and Mirrors are in question, though the way it is worded/layed out it is difficult to tell (I've had a couple of others look at the certificate and they agree it's a very ambiguous).
As there is no CT for bikes, they have no other mechanism for verifying lights/mirrors/reflectors. I had to have a DRIRE inspection on an F6C that I bought in Germany, (so EU compliant), and later registered in the UK and then brought it to France. I had MPH and KPH speedos but never changed the light. The DRIRE only checked the mirrors and reflectors - mirrors may not be convex and reflectors may not be red on the sides (US made bike). Think its a gotcha. John
 2.
Don't tell Dave, but I'm also looking at the BMW 1200 GS.
Get a KTM 990 Adv. Proper bike, not a motorway cruiser John

 5.
Aprilia Italy are none too helpful and just want to return my 27 Euros to me stating we have no such documents. So it's possible the Jota being 26 years old never had a certificate of conformity. Does that make sense to anyone?
CoC's only became EU wide in 2002 or 3 I think. So its a certificate of Identity you need. You could see if Eurococ can help you: http://www.eurococ.eu/en/?gclid=CLWtkv3x4pMCFQuGugod6BmjVg I'm going to try them when I import a PD Classic... Cheaper as well by the looks of it. Cheers, John
