  1. I managed to get my husband to stone all our cherries (well one tree - the rest have to ripen) and I made Cherries Jubilee. I will eat some and then freeze the rest in portions. Not sure if I could bottle them but they do have pineau in instead of kirsch. They taste fantastic so not sure if any will be left after tonight
  2. If I want a slow cooked leg of lamb I use the Good Food recipe for Slow-cooked lamb with onions & thyme it takes 3.5 hours and is delicious. http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1826/slowcooked-lamb-with-onions-and-thyme
  3. Thanks Jayjay, that is good to know, it was the one thing that really worried me as I can't sleep without my machine !!!

I have been using my machine for 6 years now and it is fine when plugged into our house in France. It was the after care that bothered me. I would have to buy my own machine I think though as the one I have is on loan from the Sleep Clinic in Oxford. Just been over there this week to change the machine for a new one too!!!!
  4. We have had a holiday home in Charente Maritime for a short while now but are thinking of moving permanently to France. I have a couple of health issues, one of which is sleep apnoea. Does anyone else have this and how do you manage with the machine etc., in France?

This is the only thing that would stop us moving as we love the area we have our house in and would want to buy a bigger house to live in all the time. Everytime we get back to the UK we both want to be back in France but not the other way around LOL!!!
  5. We are also thinking of coming back to France in September via this route so will be interested to hear others comments. We usually travel via the tunnel but thought it would save on the drive if we did it this way. We would then have a shorter trip to Charente Maritime than the 8 hours from Calais.
  6. Thank you Christine, I thought I had deleted the post to try again later as I had put the wrong code in, obviously due to some glitch in the system I hadn't! Never mind the day was saved.
  7. After saying in my post that I didn't have any photos of Sasha with me, I remembered I had loads on Photobucket!!!

  8. They are adorable Frenchie, sadly I lost my beautiful Schnauzer Sasha in January so can't put any photos of her on here (they are all on the computer in England). She had been ill for some time with cancer (a tumour on her spleen) which we thought the vet had managed to get rid of but no, it came back and we had to let her go. It was the saddest day of our lives.

Now after 6 months we think we may be ready for another dog!!! Hearing Dogs for the Deaf in the UK have some for adoption sometimes so we may go down that road this time. I do love to see other peoples pets though so love your photos.

Sorry to go on a bit, have just had a couple of glasses of Charentaise wine !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
