  1. Hi Can anyone please help us ? We have lived in France since Oct 2002 and have french rental income which is declared under 'microfoncier' on the tax form.  CPAM 26 (Drome) use our french tax form to assess our payments to CMU and we have Cartes Vitales. We don't have UK health cover E106 or E121 as aged 45 and 53. Are the french going to classify us as 'inactive' and take away our Carte Vitales and eject us from the health system? Any advice anyone has on this would be most appreciated. Thanks Steph and Dave
  2. Crickey! Does anyone know if we'll be classed as 'inactive' and lose our Carte Vitales' ? We have lived in France since October 2002 (something about a 5 year rule?) We have rental income in France and fill in the tax form and pay 11% 'Contributions Socales' on our income under the 'Microfoncier' tax scheme. Our local CPAM (Drome 26) uses our french tax form 'Avis d'Imposition' to assess our contributions to the CMU and we have Carte Vitales.  So are we classed as inactive or does our rental 'business' count as an activity ? Any advice most welome thanks Steph and Dave
  3. Does anyone know the definition of  'inactive' in these new regs.? We live in France and have french rental income on which we pay 11% 'contribution sociale' . The CPAM uses our French tax form (Avis d'Imposition) to assess our contribution to CMU, are we going to lose our carte vitale(s) as strictly speaking we do not work?
